The 3700x may only be 10% faster at single core performance compared to the 4790k but it does have twice as many cores and threads as the 4790k (8 cores/16 threads vs 4 cores/8 threads).  Your setup should be running BFV fine at 1080p at around 60fps though.  Have you got future frame rendering enabled?  Have you checked to make sure that you have nothing in the background eating up CPU cycles while trying to play?

    @HardResetting 

    If you are seeing very low performance that does not change much with different settings, it may be worthwhile checking your display is connected to your GPU rather than your motherboard video output.

    First of all: Thank you.

    I did have FF-Rendering on and tried turing it off.

    I don't know if that helped but the problem did vanished - I still don't know why tho.

    I seems to be running ok now with a constant 60fps. I do sometimes get framedrop tho, when a lot of physics based operations happen..
