- @kregora It states it in the description for Gold and Ultimate editions. However, not sure if means there will be an additional Specialist released per Battlepass besides the ones they already announced or if it pertains to one of the Specialists they already announced.
Ultimate:
Year 1 Pass: 4 new specialists (1 per season), 4 battle passes (1 per season) and 3 epic skin bundles.
Gold:
Year 1 Pass: 4 new specialists (1 per season), 4 battle passes (1 per season) the part about "getting them early" is new... The reference to "4 new specialists" in the Gold and Ultimate but not standard is confusing if the reports about everyone getting the entire game with the base version are true.
It would be great if an official EA rep would provide a clear answer about this
OK so it looks like it's a slight error on my part, sorry guys. I've edited my original post to avoid confusion.
Everyone will be able to unlock all the specialists, that bit was correct, but I was wrong about the speed. I misremembered what the live service part of the FAQ (https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/battlefield/battlefield-2042/faq) said about there being a free and premium version of the pass each season.
So the only "real" difference between the base, gold and ultimate versions of Battlefield 2042 is access to skins and 1 week of early access to the game for gold and ultimate? And maybe the timing of availability of the specialists?
Other than skins then what else does the "Year 1 Pass" provide?
