Repair/verify game and test game !
Update us! - Sig-0TheNeverman3 years agoRising Rookie@Rokebo73 I've cleared the cache folder and repaired the game. Dumps me to desktop within first 3 minutes of a round.
I'm noticing the sound will either stop working - or stutter right before crashing, could this be an audio related issue?
I installed VisualStudio in an effort to try to open the crashdump files - but it doesn't appear to like .mdmp files... - Sig-0TheNeverman3 years agoRising Rookie
I've also disabled nVidia's resizeable bar in the BIOS.
First game crashed with the DirectX "Get Device Removed Reason" error. - Sig-0TheNeverman3 years agoRising Rookie@Rokebo73 do you have a way to open the crashdump files?

After trying a few other suggestions from Googling BF2042 crashes - I got an error message I haven't seen before:
"device2->CreatePipelineState(&graphicsStreamDesc,__uuidof(ID3D12PipelineState), (void**)&dx12pso)"failed with E_OUTOFMEMORY, blahblahblah
and reference to a file called "PipelineDx12Graphics.cpp" in a location that doesn't exist. - Rokebo733 years agoSeasoned Ace
@TheNeverman Hmmm , i have seen multiple workarounds for thos issue.
Ya run latest GPU driver ? (could downgrade driver)SpoilerDirectx Error issue where it indicates I have an error with the address "PipelineLibraryPcDx12.cpp".
The way to fix the PipelineLibary error is changing the MachineGuid to d1eb246e-6243-4460-a88e-5d4e52b1ef6b.
Windows key + R, then enter regedit.
Under LOCAL_MACHINE, find Microsoft, then Cryptography.
Under Cryptography you will find MachineGuid, make sure you back up ur original MachineGuid before changing, then enter the one provided above.

@Rokebo73pretty confident it's not a hardware issue...
At any rate - after much mucking around, I've been able to play for the past 2 weeks - with a crash maybe 1 out of 10 games. And then today... new update comes out. FFS - I see the EAC loading screen - and a brief view of the BF splashscreen - then crashes back to desktop. Seriously EA??? Why???
At least I had my old standby - BF4 to fall back on right?? No! Now it's stuck in an endless UAC loop!!
