Re: Basic Dual Sense Edge Support on PC

I figured it out on the steam side. You'll need to purchase DSX from steam to assist in controller functionality and Revo Uninstaller(Free, download off the internet) to remove all game files and registry objects in relation to the game BF2042.

  1. Use Revo Uninstaller to remove all traces of the game from your computer.
    1. Yes! this include removing the registry objects highlighted in bold letters. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!! Only remove what REVO has highlighted in bold when it comes to Registry Objects.
    2. Removal all of the other lingering files on the 3rd and final uninstall page page
  2. Reinstall the game from Steam
  3. Ensure to disable steam input specifically for Battlefield 2042 > Right click on the game in your steam collection/library >  Properties > Controller > Select Disable Steam Input from the dropdown menu
  4. Purchase and download DSX from steam
  5. Start DSX and select the virtual device of choice (DualSense emulation, DualShock emulation. Xbox360 emulation, etc...)
    1. DSX is cool because you can use the app to leverage the back button functionality of the controller.
  6. Start BF2042 and it should read/recognize your controller based on the emulation setting selected as well as the output the proper button icons in game
