Launch SOS Beacon Softlock

When trying to activate the launch tubes in mining, access is denied but the objective does not complete. No dialogue with Daniels to prompt the next objective of finding the admin RIG.

Hello I ran into a bug on chapter 7 into the void where my game is stuck, Won't let me launch the asteroid even though I did, This happens when you don't destroy the tethers. Now if I wasn't able to launch the asteroid and had to destroy the tethers first this would not be a problem, but the game ran into a issue where it lets you shoot the asteroid even if you didn't destroy the tethers. If anyone has any ideas on how I can fix this please let me know, I love this game dearly but I don't feel like starting from scratch again. 

For Proof - 

In Mining Control the game let me interact and launch the asteroid despite it still being tethered. I hadn't  yet had to place the beacon on the asteroid. The mission  hadn't even started.  This then triggered the room lock down, which is supposed to happen after the launch, but I had already left the room and was locked outside Mining Control with a Hunter that didn't even attack me just stood there looking at me!😆 So I couldn't manually release the door inside the control room. I managed to load a recent auto save  but it was still after the asteroid had gone. The mission to destroy the tethers and place the beacon then started and I did it. It even let me place the beacon on the asteroid as the beacon itself was just floating about in empty space. When I went back to Mining Control and interacted again with the screen to launch the asteroid it made the launch noise but the story did not continue. It's broken. There's no save left to reload prior to this bug. Assume I've got to start again? PS5.

Same here. It gave me the Beacon is away audio file to return to the tram. No objective to complete and still stuck on launch tube with a red error screen and no dialog to advance to the next step. Objective still says to activate the tubes

I was in the mining elevator where the necros spawn, but after completing it I left to work on a sidequest. After taking the tram to another part of the ship, I am trying to return to continue the main quest. However, the tram now fails to progress beyond Engineering. The quest marker for “Activate the launch tubes” shows the blue line continuing along the tram line. However, when accessing the tram terminal it shows Mining (Locked)/Engineering. 

I cannot progress the tram any further to reach mining to continue the quest.

can we try the following steps and check if this continues?

• Make sure the game is installed on an internal SSD (versus HDD or external SSD connected via USB)
• Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
• EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) 
• Repair Games (Go to My Collection > Select the tile Dots > Repair)
• Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
• Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game

No, this doesn't solve the problem.

Same happened to me. Had to start again. Did on Story mode to speed run it. Took 6 hours to get back to 7 and I put difficulty back to normal. I now create a save at the start of each chapter and keep it until chapter is done. I use a seperate save or auto save for progress during chapter. Think of it as part of the game now. There's other bugs too in other Chapters from reading other posts and reloading saves is the best fix.

Try going back to hydroponics. This also happened to me. I think it bugged because I went to do some side quests before unblocking the mine transport station, and the door to unlock it is on hydroponics.

Started again. Worked second time. I think careful use of saved games is part of the gameplay for these bugs.🙃
