Re: CnC3 Windows 10 'exception in exception handler'

I remember reading somewhere that it might be related to certain recent driver updates of NVidia intel HD cards, but I never actually got confirmation on that. Might be worth looking into that direction, though.

I was told that Windows 10 didnt support 'older games' which is some nonesense. I'm attempting to update my driver at the moment, but I did get past the error in virtual box xp, but it wouldnt let me use my host graphics card.

so updating drivers, and trying VMWare instead.

Given the fact a recent driver is apparently the problem, I'd recommend trying to downgrade the drivers rather than updating them, actually...

Unfortunately, I've found my solution. I don't know if downgrading would work, but it would be worth a shot for someone else. it is worth noting though that I was specifically told windows 10 and CnC3 were incompatible (which is stupid, but I'll take it)

I managed to rig up a virtual machine (Oracle's virtual machine didn't work, I'd recommend 'VMWare') and run XP on there, which ran the game fine. but its a rather bothersome solution, as it involves installing an additional program, an entire operating system, necessary graphics drivers in the environment, reinstalling the game on XP, and cracking the .exe. Patching must also be done manually, for some reason the VM wont connect to the EA servers.

I don't care though, I get my CnC fix for the time being
