Awakened = Garbage *SPOILERS*

No suits, no weapons, no new weapon parts, not even a new level.  Just the lamest extension of a plot I've ever seen.  With Severed for DS2 we had new levels, characters and a new suit.  If I remember right that suit carried over and was available for Clark in the main campaign and it was one of the best looking suits in Dead Space to date.  It was awesome.  I fully expected some kind of new suit at some point, maybe a simple reward for finding all the collectables at least, but no.  Even the Mk-II weapon parts were all the same crap I already have.  I already have all the Mk-V parts, so who thought a bunch of Mk-II parts would be fun to scavenge around for?  I thought that was just dumb.  All the levels were just regurgitated levels from the campaign.  I've beat the game at least 5 times already, the last thing I want to do is pay $10 for all the same levels all over again.  And the plot was horrible.  Seriously?  Clark and Carver warp to earth right at the end only to find a dozen moons had just eaten the human race?  Give me a break.

The point of all this is that I just want people to know what they're buying before they blow their money the way I did.  And developers need to know how stupid their latest piece of work is (Awakened) so maybe their next installment will have a little more substance at least.

    Loved the DLC, loved the game.

    OMG there's no new suits, or stuff for me to find. But I want it to be like severed waaaa waaa.

    Please, it's a 9 dollar dlc that's worth it, if you don't like it don't play it.

    I didn't have a problem with the DLC or the game. I certainly wasn't expecting another cosmetic suit that doesn't affect the gameplay whatsoever. My N7 armor looks fine to me. I will admit finding a new weapon would be nice, but frankly I'm perfectly happy with the weapons I have.

    I will admit the DLC was short and it did reuse some areas, but at least it wasn't $15 like the Mass Effect DLC. You could have waited for the reviews to come out, learned it was short and not bought it at all if it bothered you. Lesson learned I guess.

    The Mass Effect 3 DLC was worth the extra $5 because each new installment of DLC was fresh, had new levels, new weapons and new weapon upgrades.  Everything was new and never experienced before.  ME3 is the shining example of what DLC should be.  As for reviews, I don't listen to them.  They are mostly skewed in my opinion and thousands of gamers I've met in the real world have all agreed with me on that.  And the length of Awakened was never an issue with me.  I knew it would be short just by the $10 price tag. I'm ok with that.  With Mass Effect 3, instead of a carrot being dangled over my head I felt like I was getting served a steak.  Huge difference.

    Your facts are wrong and your attitude is trash.  I don't want to argue over a dollar, but it was $10 not 9.  And my love for the game is still going strong, apparently yours is past tense.  My beef is with the DLC only.  They dangle a carrot over your head and you go nuts.  I'm happy for you, congratulations.  And thanks for the advice.  I don't like the DLC and I won't play it anymore.  I'm deleting it.  The thing took longer to download and install than it did to beat it on both normal and pure survival mode combined.

    DLC needs to have everyone in mind, not just folks like you.  I've beaten the game 5 times already and spent 200+ hours on those levels. I already have dozens of each weapon part.  Normal mode, New Game +, Hardcore, Pure Survival, Classic, I beat 'em all.  I'm burned out.  When developers go public and announce that Awakened will be the most intense Dead Space experience to date - I jumped.  I was ticked beyond belief when it ended up being just a bunch of rehashed levels that I've spent those 200 hours on and the same weapon parts that I already have dozens of each. So what if they replaced Tucker Edward's graffiti with unitology script and added a few hallucinations.  All my online friends agree that this DLC did not have people like us in mind.
