The original DVD versions of Generals and Zero Hour probably won't work on modern systems because the DRM system they use is no longer supported by modern Windows versions.
And, I'm afraid that Generals and Zero Hour aren't available on Origin as stand-alone games, so you can't redeem their CD keys. They are only available as part of the Ultimate Collection.
Though, the EA advisors might be able to give you a stripped version of the Ultimate Collection with just Generals and Zero Hour in it, if you can prove you own the game. So I suggest you contact an Advisor via EA Help and get a live chat session, and ask if they could do that. But I would not advise doing that if you're planning to buy the full collection, since it's possible the system will think you already own the game, and will not allow you to buy it "a second time".
