Thx for the feedback. DA2 itself tells me(when I try and select Direct X11 as a renderer) that it is only supported by Vista SP2 or Windows 7. I know my Vista is totally up to date as well as my graphics drivers, byt when I try to install DX11 it tells me I have the latest version already installed? WTF

The Microsoft package for getting DX11 onto a Vista machine isn't part of a SP or patch (although it does require SP2).
It's MS KB971512.
