Re: [Workaround] NVIDIA driver crashes and the infamous White Screen

Thanks for posting something to try, but after the patch my game is still crashing to a white screen every 5 minutes. I've tried changing the settings both in-game and via Notepad++ for post processing effects and AA, but no dice. I'm also using a GTX 660Ti on Nvidia's latest stable driver release. Unfortunately this patch has taken me from a fully playable game to a completely broken one. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Same here, though if I have post processing, AA and everything on max, I get the DirectX error. The only funny thing is when the game first came out, it ran flawless with only 1 or 2 whitescreen crashes a day, I was completely unphased by them. Then early December came around, whitescreen crashes became very frequent ( 10 min after starting game), the game quickly became unplayable. I have looked at this work around and it did not change anything (though as soon as I revert to max settings, I get the DirectX error crash instead). When Patch 2 came out, it seems that many people were getting more crashes than before, where as I seen no change in my situation.

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same progress of problems as I have.

    I am armed with 2 x GTX 780ti's, 16GB RAM, Intel i7 4930K 3.30 GHz on a W7 Home Premium

Hopefully Bioware or Nvidia will find a solution soon, this game is too good for these problems.

I am getting the same error, incessantly.

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed. "). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680", Driver: 34475

I've tried everything from going windowed, turning graphics to medium (HBAO/AA off), rolling back drivers, going offline in Origin, re-installing Visual C++, updating DirectX, you name it - and eventually it will go white and CTD. It happened before Patch 2 but it didn't go white before the CTD and it came less frequently.

Begging for a patch or driver update to resolve this, I'm starting to think every third thread is on this topic so hope someone's paying attention...
