Re: Suddenly not allowed to play Dragon age Inquisition Offline

There was an update recently, perhaps this had partially started and needs to complete. If you go online and try to launch, can you see if it attempts to update?

I was thinking maybe the update had something to do with it aswell! When I went on I was told it needed to update, that was fine, I let it and the update completed so I think it was properly installed. The most frustrating thing is I know I can play this game offline without actually having to be online to start it but now I can't even do that.

Can you first try soft-restarting the xbox by turning it off with the pad. It might need to run/install some system updates, you might see it working, with the front button glowing even after the shutdown. If this happens, let it run then when it finally shuts off fully, turn it back on and start the game again.

If this doesn't happen/this has no effect, try hard restarting the machine by holding the front button for a few seconds until it beeps and shuts down fully.

  • What is the solution for Xbox One during an Xbox server outage? I was able to play offline with my 360 for this game, but it won't even start on the One without being connected.

I had found that solution earlier - my Xbox one was already set as my home xbox, and I tried going offline, etc, but the system kept telling me I had to be connected to start up. As the servers are back up now it's not a current issue, but going forward, I'm seeking a solution that would allow me to play during a server outage/Internet connection issues. Thank you!
