Alright, I've tried unlink and relink via the link you suggested but it did not work. It still shows the "Login form" that I am not supposed to see.
When I tried to start the game directly from EA app, it looked and worked the same way (stuck at the login form)Please clear your temp files:
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
- Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
- Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
(If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)
Then:
- Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller". (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)
- Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall EA app.
- At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "intensive" > Browse.
- If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
- When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All (Make sure the "Origin Games" or "EA Games" folder is not in the list) > Delete.
- Restart the PC
- Download a new EA app setup exe from here.
- Install EA app
- Restart the PC > Test.
@holger1405
I tried the whole workflow and it did not help. After the last restart, I am back to the wrong Login formThen do the same with Steam > Restart the PC > Test.
I did the same for the Steam and it did not help. Still the same problem.
You disabled the compatibility mode and the other changed you made? If not please do so.
Then repair the game.
(Origin: Game Library > Right-click the game cover > Repair)
(EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)I've done that and without all those modifications (like compatibility mode and admin mode) the form won't even appear. No error no logs, nothing at all.
It just closes the EA App, nothing, then the EA App reappears, and in the Steam Launcher I can see the "Play" button again instead of "Running".OK, please leave it that way. The game should run without any compatibility settings.
Please create a new DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.
There are still no DAi errors in the Windows error reporting section of the DxDiag.
Go to your Reliability monitor = Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time and copy and paste or type "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) in the new Window > hit “ENTER” and look if it has entries for DAi or EA app or Steam.
If yes double click at the last entry for the game executable, copy the info to the clipboard, and save it to a text file.
If not:- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- In the new Window, type or copy and paste "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps" (Without the quotation marks) > Press ENTER
- Look if there are any "DragonAgeInquisition.exe.Xxxx.dmp" files in the "..Local\CrashDumps" folder.
- Zip 2 - 3 "DragonAgeInquisition.exe.Xxxx.dmp files together and upload them at a free file hosting service like Dropbox or Onedrive.
- Post the link here.
If there aren't any dump files of DAI:
- Press the Windows key > Write: Command Prompt > Right click on "Command Prompt" in the search results > Run as administrator.
- Copy and paste reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\devenv.exe" /v DumpType /d 2 /t REG_DWORD into the prompt Window > Press ENTER.
- Play the game until it crashes.
- After the game crashes, let all Windows crash dialogues finish.
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. > Type "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps" (Without the quotation marks) into the new window > Press ENTER.
- Zip 2 - 3 "DragonAgeInquisition.exe.Xxxx.dmp" files together and upload them at file hosting service like Dropbox or you can use the Onedrive "public" folder.
- Post the link here.
If there aren't any "DragonAgeInquisition.exe.Xxxx.dmp" files crated let us know.
If you want to undo the automatic dump creation, use the command below in a elevated command prompt (As in point 1) reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps" /f

I'm having the same exact problem opening the game from the EAapp and idk what to do honestly.
i tried the fixes but nothing seems to work and i keep getting the message to "activate the game" on origin and it doesn't work
Hey, sorry for the delay.
I followed all the mentioned steps, but no crash reports so far. The game can not even start -> no crash report is being created.
- Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
- Delete the "License" folder.
- Test
If that still don't helps, clean uninstall DAi with Revo Uninstaller as described befor > Restart your PC > Try to install the game from EA app.
just wanted to say thank you hero, you have done well. haha. I was having the same issue OP was, Following your final input i deleted the license folder and boom. Game starts again. thank you
Didn't work. I'm starting to suspect it could be a problem with my custom-built PC or Win 10 since I can play the game on my laptop Win 11.
Do you have DAi Dump files in the location I mentioned?
