Re: Game won't install

This does not work. Still says that there was a hiccup and I need to restart my pc.

Do you have any pending updates waiting to be installed on your PC?

Can you confirm you've tried uninstalling EA Desktop and then downloaded it through the Xbox app? 

I have done app recovery, cleared the cache folders/files manually in ProgramData as the article said to, and uninstalled the EA App and re-installed via the Xbox app, still getting the same error as described in this thread when trying to install Battlefield 1. No pending updates to install on my PC. I also turned off UAC and still the same issue.

Hello! My issue was fixed during a live support chat. They asked me to try downloading a free to play game. Just download any free game on EA dekstop app (like apex legends), then cancel download and try installing other games. It fixed my problem! Hope it helps.

Hey, everyone.

If you're unable to install the game can you try adjusting your UAC setting to a less restrictive setting to see if that helps? That looks to fix it for a lot of players that was posted in this thread below.
