Re: EA app cannot detect game

Hello @realnoobcobra,

did you change the installation location and path within the app to reflect the new location of the game? Like with most launchers, when you change the installation location, you need to let the program know that you did that, as it only looks at the place in the files that is specified.

To change the location, go into settings, downloads, and change the install location there. Then click on "Repair" for Apex, and it should be able to recognize the data.

  • different game in question, but your "help" is a blatant lie, image 1, games installed with origin with location shown to disprove claims i dont have it installed, image 2, proof that the install folder is set to where the games are, image 3, one of those games claiming not to be installed

    Hello @Phazeblade,

are you the same person as @realnoobcobra?

In many cases, such as I imagine in the case that @realnoobcobra had two months ago, it can happen that the installation path is incorrect. As my suggestion was marked as correct, I believe that it must've been the correct solution for someone's case. Just because it is not the case for you doesn't make it a lie.

I would suggest downloading the games - in all likelihood it will recognize that the game is installed in the correct location and synchronize with the correct data that is found there without redownloading the entire game.
