Depending on how you're accessing the PlayStation store, the steps will differ. The Sony support article "How to make purchases from PlayStation Store", runs through all the various ways to buy from the store and what steps those entail.
For example, if you're opening the PlayStation Store website, you'd log in with your PSN ID and then open the page for EA Play. Click on the EA Play offer that best suits you then select 'Add to Cart' (or Pre-order) and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase using the wallet funds.

Can I jump in with a related question?
I had a 12-month subscription for PS4 that I bought using at that time a prepaid Amazon card. It ran its course. Now, I can't renew through Amazon because I'm not seeing any cards for PlayStation on sale there, and the EA Play hub app on PS Store says "announced" but doesn't let me buy it. I understand from looking at previous threads that EA Play Hub support has been renewed, but how then do I go about accessing an EA Play subscription on PlayStation4?
