EA App Download Stuck On Preparing

EA app did not recognize my old Origin folder. So I’ve had to manually “download” the games again, but the EA app continuously gets bogged down in preparation. I left the laptop running all night and only got 2/5 games recognized. One of the two games wasn’t even 2GB in size! The third game the app attempted ended in a redistributable error, and the fourth got stuck “preparing” and would not even get as far as giving a percentage.

I have cleared the download cache numerous times. The app does not restart after clearing cache. After shutting down the app from clearing the cache and trying to open it again, the computer gets extremely laggy, and I have to restart my entire computer.

There is no excuse for this shoddily engineered app. There is even less excuse to force people to migrate to this app when it is clearly not ready for public release. Origin was superior to the EA app in every way. I wholly recommend migrating everyone back to Origin until the EA app is actually stable and working.
