Re: It takes two - How to play co op on PC?

Hi there!

Found a solution to this when using an additional controller. Here are the steps we took:

1) We first mapped the controller through Steam Big Picture mode (via the Cog icon for settings), then exited Big Picture mode.

2) Then went to our Steam Library and opened the Properties for It Takes Two (right click on the game in the left panel and select Properties).

3) In the Controller section of the Properties for It Takes Two, we set the 'Override for It Takes Two' section to 'Enable Steam Input'.

This seemed to prompt the game to recognise that we had a controller plugged in (whereas before It Takes Two wouldn't recognise any button inputs at all from the controller), and we were able to play with Player 1 using controller and Player 2 using mouse and keyboard. We had also tried using two separate keyboards, but that unfortunately doesn't seem to work.

Also, just to clarify, the controller we are using is an Elecom JC-U3712T, which doesn't have a full default button configuration in Steam (hence step 1 for us being to map the controller).

Hope this helps anyone else facing a similar issue!

PS. Apologies if I've made any mistakes in this reply - it's my first time posting in these forums. Also, just a personal gripe whist here; I think it's pretty lame that playing It Takes Two through Steam requires download of Origin as a whole additional client. Aside from that, it's an incredible game - hope everyone gets to enjoy it!

@jazzygoron Thank you man! I had a problem with game not recognizing my cheap bluetooth conroller as palyer 2 and keyboard mouse as player 1...

    3) In the Controller section of the Properties for It Takes Two, we set the 'Override for It Takes Two' section to 'Enable Steam Input'.

just doing this solved all issues!
