    The above was not useful to me but I managed to solve the problem myself:

    The stuck at 14% was solved by deleting the game and the EA app and then reinstalling the app onto a different drive and installing the game there again. The direct X crash issue I was having seems to be when you run out of Vram: so just lower the resolution and it should run fine.
