It's a bug.

Only non-mods solution I've read about is to buy a chest at the foreign destination and put the fish in the chest before going home or put the spawners you need in your home world.

Save under a new name before going home so you can try again, should it not work.

Let me know if this solution does something for you.

There is another EA way to get location fish. 

shift-control-c to open the cheats box

type in testingcheatsenabled tru

enter

open cheats box again

type in buydebug on

hit enter

Go to Buy mode in game and there wil be a ? 

Click on that question mark

So, here is the treasure trove- everything available in other locations

Put fishing spawners in a lake or pond and fish at home until this bug is fixed!

Still, as for the rest...it is a lot more exciting to travel and get the tomb music and such. This is just a quick fix for a current problem.

I tried the chest forgetting that everything goes into family inventory. The only way this will work is with visa 3

Actually they still disappear even if you put them in the chest. So not a solution that works either.

No offense everybody but please! Everybody posts something on this. This is the third time I've seen a post on this subject!
