Problems installing DLC bought on Origin for Sims 3 bought on Steam

I bought Sims 3 on Steam a long time ago before I created an Origin account. I then created an Origin account and it recognizes all the DLC I've purchased, but the base game does not show up. I tried to register the base game on sims3.com, but it won't work (possibly because I registered it to another Origin account without realizing it when I created my new account). 

All of my DLC and base game are registered to the same Steam account. However, I just tried to buy Pets through Origin and it will not let me install because it says I do not have the base game installed. I had the same problem with the world creator tool. I have no problems getting Sims 3 and other DLC bought on Steam to work together I just can't get DLC bought on Origin to work with my Steam bought base game.

    Having same sort problem here.

    I bought Sims 3, ambitions and showtime a while ago by steam. origin is the same account. 
    I bought studentlife, the cd in store and used the productcode to install, 
    On sims3.com it went well, no problems, got the download
     But i can not get the code in origin or steam.gives an error, i can not install it. 
    Even getting the steam codes in origin won't work..It's been used or not available..
