Re: No Logitech PRO RACING WHEEL support?

@mariohomoh Don’t use Burger King!! Not a good example. My local have staff so ridiculously slow😂

Ok

EA will accept criticism of game and the company on the boards.

There is zero tolerance towards calling people out. Whether it’s the game Devs, Forun staff and other community members.

Aiming your frustration at people gets us no where. Posts will simply get deleted no matter how valid posters point is.

As many have noticed we have a new CM managing our board and despite he’s been thrown in the deep end and it’s taking alittle time to get up to speed. He’s been working with us and chasing up and reporting every legit issue. He’s seriously doing his utmost to help us. Although he’s having to post more bad news on here instead of good. He can only post information he’s given.

@ScarDuck14 I don't have any issues with our new CM personally. I have issues with the job he's being told to make us do.

Let's just take the volumetric fog issue as an example. It was something I noticed the first time I sat in the car. Immediately. It was not an obscure issue, which means that if EA does any in-house testing at all, it would have been noticed.

With just that information, you can either conclude that they don't test, or that they didn't care.

Two and a half months later, a patch comes out claiming to fix the issue. Customers immediately notice that it isn't fixed. Presumably now we get to wait at least another 2-3 weeks for that to maybe be allegedly fixed again.

What's the conclusion now? Unless one believes that they simply lied in the patch notes, the only conclusion still remaining is that they again didn't test it (or at minimum, they have a glaring problem with their QC pipeline).

As I said in the other thread, I used the quick reply function. It automatically tags people. I don't have a problem with Groguet. I have a problem with paying customers being used as the (apparently) first and only method of testing the product we paid for.

Whomever is instructing Groguet to ask those questions of us, instead of having a better workflow that includes internal (or external) paid testing, needs to know that it isn't our job to test their work and that it is not acceptable.

I'll say it a final time to be clear: I do not hold Groguet responsible for this nonsense.

@TrekariI don’t think Groguet has been told to ask us. I’m going to take a punt as he hasn’t told me one way or other. But he’s asking us. Because we are quicker and more thorough at testing the game:, More information he can give to Codemasters should mean they can’t say theres no issue and also aid them in finding what’s wrong and hopefully fixing it quicker without it leading to more bugs.

End of the day just because coders code this game doesn’t mean they play or even like F1 games. We on the other hand know the game inside out.

Do I like being a beta tester? Hell no. On the old codemasters forums I made many many posts criticising codemasters for same problems we face now. But the devs are like us. They go on to work to pay the bills. They can only work within the resources and time allocated to them by non gaming money hungry board members

Also as the EA community team are the middlemen that communicate with us and codemasters. The only posts other than bug reports that codemasters see are constructive criticism or suggestions.   Anything that is aggressive in tone won’t be:

    @Trekari Most likely they know.

Most likely they knew how to fix it, and the resources it would take, and slotted it on the pipeline.
Most likely it got way less dev and QA time it'd require.

    And that's what we got.

"I'll say it a final time to be clear: I do not hold Groguet responsible for this nonsense." Expand that to the devs and you've got. We just have to act accordingly. This is clearly a management issue, with people with the competence and the means to rectify all these issues not being designated to do so.

I gather you were not around back in days of the original forums? Well even here we've once in a while get to - or at least used to - have a candid chitchat with devs of all sorts of departments. Their to-do list is neverending. Honestly, it's ludicrous to think that those guys would not want to fix the aspects of their work that eventually came out bugged. But it's just as ludicrous to think that they'll do so in their off hours and for free.

Heck, I find it baffling that I so often have to step in and ask people to tone it down on the stoning of EA's employees. It's EA, mate. Not the most beloved video game company out there. Personally, barring F1 I've stopped buying their products since 2015 or so, except for FIFA 21 that I got for a dime in a deep sale.
Another third of my posts is criticizing the current state of these F1 games.
So why do I even bother? Frankly, even if I didn't care for Groguet, or Barry and PJ and Greco and Brad etc, even if I didn't care for anything other than F1 the sport and F1 the game, I'd still step in because it is truly annoying seeing people going wild on myopic, generalizing tirades like if everyone, from doorman to suited up white hair on a corner office, were equally responsible for these issues and bugs.

So even if I didn't find it over the line, I'd still go off just for how annoying it is to read these blind rants in a place I visit daily to talk about fast cars going vroom vroom.

So do we simply stop complaining? Absolutely not! Not the point. There's a reason my comment on the previous page, the comment that instigated all of this, had so much negative criticism towards the game. Complaining is absolutely necessary, hence 1/3 of my activity here being criticism of some sort.
The whole community needs to express their discontentment. Just direct it correctly, and not go about insulting people that would 100% make this a better game - if management told them so.
