Your exactly right. The new WRC is ugly and dated. The dirt roads look like dirt colored asphalt. The reflections and lighting are flat. The trees and grass are low resolution. The cars look old, and there are very minimal particle effects like dust, smoke and dirt flying in the air. Where’s the gravel sounds clinking off the underside of the car? Where’s the squeaks? Why does mud and dirt not collect on the car? Why does the damage look more simple and downgraded? DR2 had all of this and more! It looks like a 360 or PS3 game. Anyone that thinks this game looks good is a casual gamer that can’t tell the difference.

But you don’t understand. The casual gaming market is ruining the serious gaming market. Dirt Rally 2 was on par to be the best rally sim experience, which is why it was so popular and beloved. It’s now being diminished by these new titles.

Hardcore players such as myself 😁. Care more about gameplay than they do graphics.   When I’m blasting through a stage last thing I care about is if a tree looks right.    

I love inmersion, and I really care to see good bushes , trees and grass. For example I was amazed about how awesome Forza Horizon 5 enviroment looks. sometimes it feels that im driving on a real place.

I agree with you! As a serious gamer immersion means physics as well as excellent graphics from environments, weather, lighting, car models, sounds, etc. If it doesn’t look real, it doesn’t feel real.
