Re: Next Update triple bogey limit

Countries that have a concept similar to that of a public offering generally have more or less precise exceptions, such as the concept of a public company in the United States, which impose significant obligations on the companies concerned, but which they can escape by complying with the strict rules contained in a certain number of "safe harbors" approaching the concept of a private placement.

In short, I don't care in this subject of discussion.

EA has no respect for gamers and therefore its own customers.

Well EA fired some 670 employees because they were losing money, and the value of the company still lost over 1%. Those 670 employees on the street looking for a job, or delivering pizza to feed their kids couldn't care less about our little feeling for a stupid golf game not making money and abandoned.

If anything, EA's mistake was to make a golf game in the first place. Selfishly, I'm glad they did as I have played and still playing this game a lot.

It's not their fault and not ours. The culprits are those people in management who no longer care about humans and video games. They already make a lot of money but are unable to stop to have even more. Then they try to make us feel guilty like you do too. I won't enter into this mockery and deception. They are the ones who say "no, we're not going to listen to the players" and "yes, increase the price of the game again and again".

When it comes to paying, everything works well, everything is optimized, maintained, etc...

But when we talk about love, love for the game, love for gameplay and love of content, there, there is no one left and nothing is achievable.

If EA continues to play the fools like Ubisoft in France, we will all be losers.

EA management are stupid mentality where making money is the only priority.

    It's not my fault.

"It's not their fault and not ours" this is where you I think you are wrong; everything in this game is -EA's- fault, nothing else. when they don't listen, whose fault is that, when they don't make changes, whose fault is that?

@-Rôti513- Not those of developers nor those of players. The bosses are at fault

Well the boss at EA did listen to us, there's not enough of us interested and willing to buy a golf game, so the project is cancelled and abandoned. If we want to play a new golf game in the future, the boss at EA is telling us to go to 2K. And the lead designer of this EA golf game is now the new lead designer at 2K for their golf game. It's as simple as that.

That's right Kat, the boss at EA saw it was a huge mistake to make a golf game with all the expensive 4 Majors licenses going with it.  He saw there wasn't enough customers interested in a golf game, so he cut his losses and cancelled the game. EA did the strict minimum of what was promised when they advertised the game, and couldn't get out of golf fast enough, leaving the entire golf market to 2K. So as far as the EA boss is concerned, you can go to 2K for the next update and if you don't want a triple bogey limit. Oh and for all the complaints about the game and server, go to 2K too.

Michelle, that's exactly how it is. We're back to 2016 with EA Rory when the boss at EA basically told us to go play The Golf Club or Perfect Golf. There was not enough customers wanting a golf game for a big company like EA.

But really, lots of players have already moved or went back there instead of staying miserable here.

But the golf 2K game haven't the licences about courses or players and I find the gameplay much worse than EA's.

There won't be any good golf games in 2025 and EA's will remain, for want of anything better, the best of all in terms of graphics and gameplay. Everyone has their own opinion. This is mine.

The last time the bosses got the golf games right was when Tiger Woods was in his prime since Tiger made golf really cool. Without another generational talent like Tiger, golf games wouldn’t sell as much. Currently 2K got Tiger, and some time in the future, the majors license would follow to 2K. That trend happened in Basketball. Previously EA had the rights to Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and the WNBA with NBA Live. Since NBA 2K took over the Basketball market, 2K now has the rights to Kobe, MJ and the WNBA.

This is kind of the issue with these big public companies. In private companies, when customers are voting with their wallets, a private company will try to make their products better. In public companies like EA, customers buying the games are not the real customers anymore. The real customers have become the investors and when they're voting with their wallets, it's cancelling and abandoning games not making money, laying off employees. Microsoft and Sony Playstation did the same, laying off even more employees than EA.

Totally agree. The quality of Madden 25, EA FC 25 and NHL 25 have been lagging a step compared to their predecessors. EA PGA Tour is even two or more steps behind TW14. Private companies have created amazing games with quality light years ahead. San Diego Studio’s MLB the Show 24 and Steel City’s Boxing Game Undisputed are so much fun to play and are good examples of better quality games from Private companies.
