@Benchwarmerbrew It’s not that bad in the state it is in now.
Literally just hang back a little towards the start of the fight to level up once, and then getting a single kill on someone with at least a light body shield will level you up to purple.
It’s really good if you are hot dropping, because you can get to purple pretty easily. Later on, it’s not as strong, but it’s still good if you already have it on purple, as then you are basically equivalent with enemies, and doing well will reward you with the red evo.
Red evo isn’t usually as good as gold body shield, but it is better than purple body shields, so that’s something.
You are kind of over exaggerating some of it’s minor faults.

@Benchwarmerbrew 10/10 times would take Evo over white shield. 8/10 times early game would take evo over blue shield if team mates have whites.

Should the evo shield gain a cell when you level it up? Maybe, but that would need testing as having someones shield suddenly level up in a gun fight would make people using them EXTREMELY more aggressive since they have a guaranteed heal to look forward to for fighting. Imagine fighting someone and they come guns blazing because they know they will just evo quickly and heal a cell if they push.
