How do I put back the Penthouse Apartments in Sims 4 City Living?

How do I put back the Fountainview Penthouse Apartments in Sims 4 City Living? The building is gone. I used to have a  previous cc lot that was for the Fountainview Penthouse and that made the entire apartment freeze. When I deleted it to add a new cc penthouse, it made the whole building disappear except for the empty lot of the penthouse. The new lot I added to replace it, it made half the penthouse building disappeared. I decided to bulldoze the entire lot to see if the original EA Fountainview Penthouse building (including its lot) would appear. I don't know why I thought that would be a good idea. Now the entire lot for the Fountainview Penthouse is an empty lot. It looks like this: ............. Also, I play the Sims 4 on my Mac Laptop by the way, if that could help for any tips that I can try to fix this if possible.

  • @jadaadams2000 - Even though you don’t have any floating elements and the bug related to that problem was supposed to have been fixed in August, Whoops misread your post, your problem sounds exactly like this so I’ll still recommend the following thread, because part of your issue sounds similar and perhaps some of the solutions suggested will work for you too: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-CL-DU-Missing-structure-Floating-lots-after-bulldozing/td-p/13298644

    • On p. 4 crinrict suggests disabling City Living, saving without it and then re-enabling the pack again. This suggestion is also detailed on p. 14 by someone else. However, there are some disadvantages to this solution which are also mentioned in both posts.
    • On p. 6 there’s a suggestion of starting an entirely new save file which of course also has certain disadvantages.
    • On p. 14 there’s a link to a mod with the City Living shells and there’s some info and building tips from the creator on p. 15 that might be worth reading although it doesn’t pertain to the mod.

Hope you find a solution that works for you 🙂

  • Hello @Gyldenloev  , I was able to see the original Fountainview Penthouse again. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Sims 4 game, moved the saves; mods; and trays to my desktop instead of the documents tab/folder on my Mac. Then I dragged the saves, mods, & trays folder from the desktop to the new Electronic Arts folder and Sims 4 folder. I was able to start a new game, which I am okay with. Then I downloaded a zip of a list of cc Sims 4 sims from a cc sims 4 creator's page, because I didn't feel like manually creating a new sim. That ruined the new game I think by the cc mods that was created for the list of cc sims I tried to put into an household in Sims 4 City Living. I deleted the cc sims mods and their tray from the Mods and Tray folder, and I manually created a new sim with the previous mods I already had before I downloaded the list of cc sims. Then an error occur called Error Code 109, when I tried to click on the "Play" button to see the sims I manually created in the household I put them in the 920 medina studios apartment. When I clicked the "Play" button it brought me back to all of the Worlds screen. Also, the sim's symbol on top of their head is light green. I am not sure what mod is creating this to happen. Lastly, the Sims 4 main menu shows an empty sim without showing the cc manually created sims I created. Also, I deleted the Resource.cfg document but I didn’t completely delete it yet because it is in the “Trash” app on my Mac. I don’t know if that made it worse with that being previously in the Mods folder. I tired repairing the Sims 4 Game, and It's still not working. Here are the following images of what I am talking about:

  • Hello @Gyldenloev , so now my Sims 4 Game is working. I found out that it was a mod script package that was causing the issue. Other than that, thank you so much for your assistance.

@jadaadams2000 - yeah, mods seem to have been affected both by the current event and other changes, but I’m glad you managed to find out what was causing problems and get your game working again 🙂
