Re: Without punishment, cheaters are becoming streamers!

@3viirgula14

The short side of this story, no one can stop cheaters on PC. The reason is directly why most people like PC, because it's open based. The only company that has a chance, Microsoft. Look up their Pluton chip. Once AMD and Intel start adding this directly to their chips you can expect cheaters to slowly fade.

  • @Popa2caps Stopping is practically impossible. But working to stop the increase in cheaters is possible. South America's servers have no work to do to prevent them from showing up.

    Yes, EA could do more, but that's like wishing for free gold. The best you can hope for would be for EA to make people use a phone number for signing up like COD Warzone PC.

    Video games are a for profit business and coming up with extra resources to find cheaters is one thing, getting rid of them is another.

    No one wants to handle their own security, so they outsource it. Does it always work, no, but it catches the lazy ones.

  • Bro, a lot of streamers acutally already cheat.

    But the thing is, no one asks, no one cares, as long as they bring new players to the game.

    It's a shame but that's how it works these days.

    Respawn is ofc working to stop cheaters. The problem is that cheaters adapt and therefore there will always be waves of cheaters in this game. Respawn manage to block one "batch" of hacks, and the hackers come up with something new that works for a while. Respawn manage to block that one too and the hackers come up with another one and so over and over again.

    Who are those cheating streamers btw?

    @Balladalidila I had a list of names and videos. But you cannot post or speak the name for privacy reasons. They don't have a large number of viewers or fame, but they're on the twitch trying to gain an audience.

    As for Respawn's banning lots of cheaters, I think that's unreal. There is no way to prove it. The easiest way is to open (for real) the community to control cheaters, like collecting videos like CS: GO, or make a BLACK LIST where you are warned that there is a cheat player in the lobby (I think this is easier to do).

    The only way I have found to punish cheaters, is by watching. Some cheaters offer the option to hang up when people are watching, so it's nice to see the guy who hits you with a spray with 5 headshots miss all the shots at the other opponents that he will try to cheat. Sometimes this cheater option is already checked and the guy doesn't even know how to turn it off ... Too many cheaters fall because they don't even know how to configure the cheating program ...
