Date event goals not being fulfilled/completed

So as the title says the goals for dates aren't being fulfilled, only the main interaction one is being counted. Both of my sims are from the same household. I don't have mods installed at the moment as I had removed my folder to fix another issue involving restaurants, my game was also just repaired before trying this and all cache was cleared in game files. I've seen others have this issue but it didn't really seem solved or it was solutions from a few years ago on the same issue with party goals.
