My Pets will not get pregnant even though they are adults.

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.63.136.1010
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? cats & dogs, seasons, discover university, island living, get together, get to work, get famous, city living, dine out, jungle adventure, outdoor retreat, parenthood, realm of magic, spa day, vampires, backyard stuff, bowling night stuff, cool kitchen stuff, kids room stuff, laundry day stuff, moschino stuff, movie hangout stuff, my first pet stuff, perfect patio stuff, romantic garden stuff, tiny living, toddler stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to breed a male and female dog. Also, if you just have a dog, they will not go into "heat" even after a full sim year and they are adults.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing, the dogs will not get pregnant and/or go into "heat".
What do you expect to see? I expect my female or male dog to have the "hearts and howls" they normally do when they are ready to breed.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. After the June 3rd addition of Eco Lifestyle.

I am not an advocate of breeding dogs, cats or any animal, but in this particular lets play, I am wanting to make a small "Dalmatian Plantation" but not with 101 dalmatians, just a female, male and a few pups.  My dogs have bred over and over again on the encouragement of my sim and nothing happens, no babies, no pregnancies, nothing.  I can understand one or two times with no success, but I have tried 10 or more times to get the female pregnant for the first time.  This being frustrating in itself, the female nor the male goes into the "heat" cycle or estrus and does the cute howling with the hearts.  Normally I would have my pets spayed or neutered, but this time I created a new lp and wanted a different outcome.  I also have noticed several other problems, but I will post later about those.

  • @samapaori To be sure are both your pets in the same household ?

Do they actually mate but no pregnancy results in it ?
  • Yes, they were both in the same household and were my sims 2 dogs.   I did make sure all of the correct settings were in place and the pets did not have any traits that would make them unable to mate and have offspring.  It was extremely weird that when I created their offspring in CAS using the DNA tool, it seemed to have fixed itself.  I hope this helps you pinpoint what could have been wrong.
