@Godisbullen it is time based and they nerfed time so that if you run without jumpad or portal you can go ~150 meters with it if not mistaken, in other words you need to think where to put it and how to push team fast.
@Balladalidila Rev ult makes now this quite big red smoke ring when put down, if you are aware of the enemy position I think you should be able to react to it.
In comparison you can say that team that were not able to react / hit people taking jumpad or portal will also fail with Ash portal (maybe even more often than before), but the ones that have a better game sense should be just fine.
Also a pro towards jumpad - it remains in place, portal expires = if the fight with shadows takes a moment or Rev ulting team f up a bit, they have limited options to get back or even could turn that fight into 1 vs multiple in favor of the team actually being pushed meaning 1 or 2 people take the portal for the second time and run into 3 half healed but 3 enemies.
