IMO badges are like belts in BJJ. It "should" mean something for you but no one else cares. As a matter of fact; the only one who will ever see your 4k or 20 kill badge are

A) you

B) your teammates

C) the enemy who spectates you

and if you got it without being good, it will actually just bring you negative effects in B). All your friends will know you are a pathetic fraud and all your random teammates will start mocking you. I have both 4k and 20 kill and sometimes when I have a bad game, I get comments like "nice bought account", sometimes even from people that I outdamaged but they expected to get carried by me =)

I much more "meaningful" stat that they should let us show off is your average damage dealt. I think that stat is the most revealing one about you as a player. I play most my games with a much worse premade friend and we win most fights by me doing 80% of the dmg and he one tapping for the kill when I heal or reload haha. Therefore I have like 2 KD during a normal ranked season up to mid diamond but an average dmg deal of like 1000
