Why does superstar mode suck so bad?
-for starters the inability to face scan is ridiculous.
-you are an automatic starter which is not realistic. ( how am I a 60overall but automatically start over a player like Henry).
-why does my superstar never get tired and never subbed out? I can literally run the ball 75times in a row and if I don’t manually take him out I will have 75 carries that game.
-why is it so easy? I have put the settings on all-madden, cpu sliders maxed, game style competitive or simulation. Doesn’t matter all I need to do is call running plays from shotgun formation and boom 220yards on 14carries every game.
-no matter what position you select your teammates will be dumbfounded in the game of football. I play as a qb now my RBs suck and can’t run, I play as a rb now my qb and wr develop no chem, I play as a wr now my qb and rb are all rookies to football. Making this mode horrible to get into.
- sometimes I make the game difficult on purpose just to make it realistic and although I’ve scored 4 or 5 tds to make it close, my teammates in the locker room look at me with disgust as if I didn’t keep us in the game. For example I rushed for 278yds with 4tds and our starting TE who had 4recs for 14yds came into the locker room shaking his head at me like I didn’t save the day(I lost on purpose just so I wouldn’t be on a 34game win streak).
-the media interviews are the same every time almost like Deja vu with each win or lost. If it’s gonna repeat itself every time just have it run one time then take it out.
- inability to see season by season career stats. Sometimes I like to compare year over year well thanks to madden 25 we can no longer see that and just see total career stats. Also how are rookies being drafted with 8-9yr pro stats already making their hof push unrealistic, how a rookie wr is 4 recs away from breaking the all time rec record.
- why do still suitable players end up lost in FA with no offers? Currently an overall 89 wr sits in fa for 2 seasons . Was over the hof threshold but faded into oblivion. I also think the hof threshold should be different for each position. As some positions do not rack up the hof stats as others. Like a shutdown corner who is rarely tested after being proven should be recognized as such. I also think previous hof players already inducted should be mentioned there for the purpose of stature and class.
-why is the simulated game when you’re not in the game play so stupidly. Example we had one timeout and 4secs on the clock at end of play. How were we not able to get the field goal attempted before halftime.
-commentary sucks, same generic sayings every game. I turn my volume down just so I don’t have to listen to it.
I’ve been playing madden since 94 and since its inception superstar mode has been a huge let down. I only bought this madden after watching the Hulu doc hoping that this year would be different as the doc mentioned. But I feel I was duped. I had no intentions on buying this years version.
I sometimes wish madden would take a page out of nba 2k book or atleast allow another creator to make authentic football games because this has been the same copy and paste game for years. Adding new catch animations or saquans reverse hurdle doesn’t do it for me. I don’t even like the eagles lol. For me I’m of the mindset to not buy another football game until another maker is allowed to create one. I want an authentic football game and this is not it from a gameplay or off the field standpoint.
There can be a lot of potential with this game and I hope this franchise can either get it together or at least allow another maker to create authentic nfl video games. This game reminds me of 24 which reminded me of 23 which reminded me of 22 which reminded me of 21. I can go on and on until about 2008 or 2009 honestly.
please fix/ invest in this mode it has a lot of untapped potential and I will probably not buy another madden until it’s proven this mode is corrected. For comparison I preorder nba 2k every year because I know I’m getting a solid product. For madden I either wait until it’s free on game pass or avoid altogether but would love to have a good consistent football game.
