Yup, my thoughts exactly.
The most important achievement from each story DLC pack--Bring Down the Sky, Zaeed, Kasumi, Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker, Leviathan, Omega, Citadel--was ported over to the Legendary Edition. However, NO achievements were carried over from Arrival & From Ashes. A most curious oversight, but thankfully one that can easily be rectified.
To be fair, I'd rather they fixed the ones that actually exist. Especially because one of those is not registering Insanity playthroughs, which I'd argue is the most critical one.
I always play ME on Insanity (one of the very few games I like this way, I'm a casual in Dragon Age for example), but there are countless people who only do one high difficulty playthrough just to get the achievement. It's a pretty neat kick in the nuts when it's all for nothing...
With that being said, I agree that it is really weird that they've removed story-related achievements for no apparent reason.
Yeah, that's a valid concern too. It appears the implementation of achievements in the Legendary Edition is a little undercooked. It feels like from a design point of view, trophies were given priority.
Do you know if the trophies on PS4 & PS5 have issues unlocking correctly like the buggy achievements on Xbox One & Series X/S?
@Dresden_N7As far as I know, the most problematic ones (Insanity and Paramour) are bugged through all three platforms.
