Are you scanning correctly? You can't send probes to any area on the planet, as you could in ME2.

This is the Xbox 360 version, but on PC, sending a probe is done by left clicking.

    Thanks for the reply__  Found out what the problem was.  the mouse will not produce 2 outputs at same time.  Changed mouse and it works fine.  which also explains why I couldn't shoot while using scope.
