I double checked my event logs and noticed I am getting different messages from before Monday's patch. Seems I'm now getting errors with the bink2w64.dll file. Below is my latest error in event log and dxdiag file. This is running with both steam and origin in admin, no odd characters in user or PC name, changed the region as suggested and using the alternate launcher. Any other thoughts as I'm running out of ideas until a patch comes out?

Faulting package-relative application ID:@swvenom37 and @akhor7 your game launching problems still seem to be the same as mine post-patch. I am not seeing bink2w64.dll but the same MassEffect1.exe error as before. Done the same checks with security settings, username, etc. Still no issues with ME2 or ME3 just ME1. Might just start a new character in ME2 for now. I will try reimaging if I become impatient for a possible next patch.
@holger1405 and @puzzlezaddict I am happy to report that the eGPU does not seem to be a part of this issue. Per my attached DxDiag, the integrated Intel GPU opened the launcher with no issues and no change in the crash behavior. ME2 and ME3 launched but same error as listed below while using integrated graphics.

Faulting package-relative application ID:Possible issue with the latest patch?
Still can't get mine to work. Tried all the suggestions. When I tell it to check for an update it keeps re-downloading the 956MB patch. I've had it do a repair, as well and same result. Really frustrating. This is on a newer laptop that more than meets the specs for the game.
I'm also having seemingly these same problems; original launcher won't work just shifts origin as if was working then fails, and the dividebyzero launcher successfully replaces that but I still can't open any games from it, yes starting the launcher thru origin. This is just so incredibly frustrating! Detailed here.
@ShaunbearU I'm sorry for the late reply; I kind of lost track of this thread. In the meantime, I've reinstalled Windows through Bootcamp and can confirm that ME 1 (the LE version) does work, so this isn't an issue with the Bootcamp setup overall.
If you're still having trouble, could you try loading an already existing save? I'm curious whether the issue is the game itself or just the intro. If you can't find one, I can send you one from the landing spot on Eden Prime. I'm not saying this is a good solution, just useful information.
