rune bug eo

is it possible to do the ruzne riddles on eos straight away or are they unlocked later? i cannot interact with any console on eos, they all seem to be used although i did not use them

  • Hexagonal point of interest is a part of a quest. You're supposed to see (NPC for example) or do (scan an item for example) something there.

Circle point of interest is a place where something might happen within some quest in the future. It's actually just "a landmark" for orientation, for example on Aya these circular POIs display if it's a port, market or resistance HQ (and you may fasttravel near some of them).

Chest looking like point of interest means there is a chest with nifty stuff inside. Usually you'll get some equipment, augs and mods in those.

I'm sorry, I mean, perhaps I didn't understand the question so I'm writing what I think I should.

Can you please make a screenshot of a spot on the map that bothers you and upload it in your next post? Here's how to take a screenshot:

@AquilaSamurai95 Hey,  the screenshots folder seems to be automatically created for Frostbite games. In game you can open the console by pressing the tilde button (the one below Esc) and type screenshot.render to make a screenshot. However this will include the console and the "screenshot.render" text.

Due to this drawback you might want to use a 3rd party solution for taking your screenshots.

If you play in Windowed mode a quick and easy option is to press PrtScn and then paste the results into Paint.

     EDIT:

Wait I know. Yes, POIs that look like a rune on map and mark remnant ruins. These can be a part of a quest. You can visit them for some loot before getting a quest to go there, usually there is a chest with some items on those spots. It's not a bug.

  • Some consoles are not useable ever.

If you're searching for Eos sudoku puzzles, then there are 4 on Eos:

    - One you'll see on a console at just one of three remnant pillars needed to open the Vault, to activate the pillar you need to solve it

    - One is inside the Vault, it's missable so explore the Vault thoroughly, look for a hidden console near the final room to access an optional section marked as Library, solving it opens a chest with some nice loot

    - Two more sudoku puzzles are in areas under high radiation which will clear later, so don't rush on those. You'll get pointers to those locations by doing tasks

Finally, while some consoles need you to scan runes, you won't have to solve Sudoku on them but will automatically activate.

wow now i went back on eos and all those markers, that were there for like 40 hours of gametime disappeared from my map... i dont get it, but i see ur point. Runes are shown extra on the map with different signs ya, i thought those runes things show me runes ^^

  • No those are just remnant ruins markers. 😉

Sometimes are empty, sometimes filled with hostiles, sometimes are a part of a quest.
