I tried entering DISM.exe/online/cleanup-image/check health into the command prompt and it said elevated permissions are required to run DISM, and PowerShell just said that the command was unrecognizable. is there any way I could fix this to go through all the steps.
The command prompt must be elevated, meaning it must be a Administrator command prompt.
"Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered."
Furthermore, in your example the spaces are missing:
Not: DISM.exe/online/cleanup-image/check health
But: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth
Just copy and paste the commands from my post into the Powershell or the Command prompt.
