Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Steam Version Not Launching

@teloq1793 Having it offline and then online and it causing an issue typically indicates that the game license validation failed. I could be wrong on that being the issue but once you go online and it tries to validate and fails, that could be a few issues.

Was the game purchased through Steam?

Is the Steam client, the EA app, and the game all on the same drive?

Does the error give error codes, or just a generic error?

    @EA_Shepard Yes, the game was purchased on steam. I think it was about a year ago that I got it.

    The EA app and steam are on the same drive but the game is stored on a second drive with the rest of my steam library. Do you think that could be my problem?

    The error that pops up doesn't give any other information than what I had in the quotations.

    @teloq1793 Typically speaking, yes. That has always been a conflict even with Origin. I use an SSD for my OS and an upgraded HDD for all my games. But, I have all the platforms stored on that HDD as well.

    What I would do to test it, is move your save folder to the desktop if you have them saved there, uninstall the game, and delete the folders related to the game. (this is optional honestly)

    Then set the game folder library to default in Steam and the EA app, and test it out.

    You can always change this at any point.

    @teloq1793

    If the above don't helps please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

    @EA_Shepard  I found that my SSD was too small to copy the game to. So I moved/reinstalled EA and steam to the HDD so that they were all on the same drive and uninstalled them from the SSD.

    However, it did not change anything as far as I could tell. Still got the same trouble launching. I wish it would give me an error code to help explain what the issue is.

    @holger1405 I have added the DxDiag file.
