Hey, ciao.
Yes, I activated the neighborhood stories, but only the following:
- adopt dogs and cats
- leave/start/quit a career
- give birthAlso, when I play the game, I activate the cheat death.toggle false, and this prevents any deaths.
Just this morning I noticed another household gone, it is the Kealoha family, which in my game had something like 4 more babies, in addition to the original Maxis, Duane and Nani.
I know that furniture disappears from a lot if the Sims who own it die, but in my case, it really seems that they are deleted from the game to allow the creation of new Sims for certain contexts (e.g. roommates when moving to some college campus).
Something like this had never happened to me, except only after the release of the new game expansion with werewolves.

Did you test without mods to make sure it's not a setting in some mod ? If I notice that some lot usually inhabited by pre-made Sims is without its original household, with the cursor on the lot the price without furniture appears, but if I enter into build mode, the furniture is still there, and this even allows me to save the lot in my library.
Despite this, if I can find the original household from the online library and try to transfer it to the lot, it will still be without furniture.
Once I move the household, the lot will be empty even if I move the Sims to another house. I mean that it will remain empty even in the build mode. No, I haven't tried without the mods yet.
I still want to first check if it happens in any other games I have started, but it will take time.Mostly I was hoping that something like this had already happened to other players and there was already a solution.
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@LilythArdat For the furniture issue, try to add something small in build mode and see if it becomes available to buy furnished again.
So over the past two weeks I have continued to play and confirm that if a household disappears from a residential lot as if it never existed, this empties the lot of its furniture when I try to fill the house with other townies.
But if I go into build mode of the supposedly empty lot, I find all the furniture in place and can even save it to my library.
The lot, however, will remain without furniture once I transfer other townies into it.In addition, I have found that the disappearance of these pre-made townies occurs concurrently with the game's creation of those townies needed to fill scenarios (e.g., to create bartenders for pubs, cooks for restaurants, scientists and soldiers in StrangerVille, college students in campus dorms).
I've disabled culling through MCCC, I've disabled neighborhood stories completely, but the moment new townies are created for those situations, unused in-game households such as the Bjergsen, Judith Ward, the Harris family, the Goth family, disappear without any logical connection.
The only solution I'm thinking of is to save the households I'm actively using in this game, and create a new save, because at this point I can only think it's my save that's corrupted.
And hope that it's not really the few MODs I have that create this bug.
