This issue can be caused by faulty internet connection.
Im using windows 10
Solution for this are:
1.Go to windows setting
2.Choose network & internet option
3.Go to status page
4.Click network reset and make sure you restart the computer after its done.
All your saved wifi password and firewall will be reset and try launching need for speed. Hope it solves and this is how i solved my issue.
