Re: Remaster NFS Most Wanted

@Jabberwocky79

I have a complaint with your comments about the NFS ladies!

(Your Quote)

Sorry man, I disagree with Jess's looks. She's cute, and I don't think her looks are "downgraded" in some way compared to the guys. Rachel in NFSU2 was old enough to be my mom, and Niki in Carbon looked like she was old enough to be my mom, and Mia from Most Wanted looked like a hooker. Jess has the most personality of any of them, and I would definitely want her on my team and as a friend.

I agree the story is cheesy. But how is it any different than Fast 'n' Furious? Who cares? It moves the progression along and gives us some cool cutscenes. I admit I was put off by the initial reveal trailer for Payback, but now that I'm into it, I think it's great. I mean, if you didn't like the whole Mustang chase, Jess blasting out of the truck with the Regera, then I can't help you...

My Response to this is as follows:

If your gonna cherry pick who has been the best looking for NFS Ladies, then I highly suggest you get your eye's Re-examined!

Jess in payback is not even 1/4 the women MIA was from Most Wanted if you're comparing the two ladies side by side.

Mia has the spicy attractive face & body that Jess doesn't have!

Jess has a nice face but the rest is chicken feed to me!

To attack Mia is So Un-American to even do!

I love Mia and in the real world, her real name is Josie Maran.

She is a real-life smart business lady selling argan oil to women on QVC these days and rolling in the cash!

Also, you have the nerve to say Mia looked old enough to be your Mom???  WTF??

Now if your under age that might make sense, but if you're of age then dude take the blinders off!

MIA is an ICON model in the NFS Series who made Mens heart's race around the world!

Let me further say JESS whom you seem to adore acts more dominate towards the guys in the game & that is such a turn off to me.

I guess the scriptwriters made Jess a cold-hearted uncaring personality in the game to make it look like she's bad to the bone.

Again I don't need another version of Tomb Raider Lara Croft female type!

Even though Lara Croft can be quite sensual and yet be dominate at the same time in Character.

Lara Croft has more going for her then JESS!

Yes, I know Lara Croft is maybe off boundary's here in comparing video game to video game.

I use this to illustrate Lara Croft came long before the character JESS was a thought up long ago.

As for the lovely lady Nikki from Carbon, you say she is old enough to be your Mom...Dude really???

Nikki was a real tiger in them leather boots and her presumptuous foreplay with her eyes in the camera cutscenes!

Maybe go re-load Carbon and Most wanted and watch them cutscenes over again....Both ladies got the looks to kill with Love!

Jess has more the personality of a house cat than a wild Tiger!

Nothing against house cats...I love all kinds of pets...but I'm comparing personalities here!

Tigers will pounce when you least expect it....house cats not so much!

Same with Jess who seems to push away the guys rather than draw them into her life.

I think the song (Cold As Ice)  from the 70's Rock band Foreigner describes Jess best!

Among other things, we're discussing EA deliberately making the female characters in their games ugly in order to push a political agenda. Both Sara Ryder (Mass Effect) and Jessica miller (Need For Speed) are based off real life models and yet while they do share some resemblance, the characters are incredibly ugly

  • @BLVD69   Whoa whoa hang on bud, you're missing my point and also actually misquoted me. To clarify: My argument is this: Jess is an attractive character, probably the most believable character in the series, and she's my favorite. That doesn't mean I dislike the others, I was just making comparisons to illustrate why I like Jess better.

Now, as far as the other ladies, In my opinion Rachel is attractive, but not in the same way (for me) because back when I was playing NFSU2, she WAS old enough to be my mom, or at least close to it. Now Mia, in my opinion, is the best-looking female character in the entire series, no question. But that doesn't mean that she didn't dress like a hooker. All I'm saying (again we are comparing Mia to Jess here), is that I like Jess's character better, and giving you the reasons why. I like strong female characters more than eye candy - I guess that makes me old? I dunno.

@mrtun3r  Dude! Was that a screenshot from Mass Effect Andromeda? I've never played it but I know that it had NOTORIOUSLY bad facial models! LOL Everybody looks like Shrek in that game, male or female. I'm like WTH? How does that even happen? That's not political agenda, that's just crappy artists.

Actually I'm not a fan of the FnF movies either, but here's a question: You say that Payback takes itself too seriously. How exactly does it do this? The game is what it is. IT doesn't tell you "Hey, I'm serious about this here!" If you think it's trying to be serious then that's a reflection of you trying to take it seriously. It seems that you may dislike it because you want it to be something it is not. It's perfectly okay to dislike it, but my point is, people often blame the object for not being what they want, when the fault equally lies with their taste. For example: I don't like sushi, but that's not sushi's fault - it just happens to be something I don't care for. So I can either adjust my taste, or I can pass. - The point is relevant because it seems all too common nowadays for gamers to spend weeks on a forum throwing tantrums about everything that doesn't suit their particular taste, and never once does anyone stop and think "Maybe my taste just differs from the developers."

And to clarify - I'm not picking fights or anything like that.... It's just refreshing to have a debate about the game other than the usual "GAHHRRR, THE HANDLING SUXX! GAHHRR" lol

OK..I'll give you a break here.

LOL, I understand better now that you like Jess because of her strong personality VS Mia which you say is Eye Candy.

Dude I'm old as dirt, and I like Strong and Attractive women & Mia the character was a strong lady even in short skirt!

No worries Dude we all like the type of ladies we desire most.

    Rock On Brother!

Well clearly you don't know BioWare very well, or EA for that matter. They hire more people with gender studies than they do programmers, Marveen Heir (one of BioWare's lead designers) posts anti-white propaganda on his Twitter almost daily. Last year they hired this person as one of their lead writers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neTTQLbmhcA

Also neither Jessica Miller nor Sara Ryder looked this bad during their initial reveal, they were slowly uglified during the course of the development. Jess also sounded a lot more feminine in the original reveal trailer, coincidence?

The fact that EA has a political agenda isn't anything new, but they've never gone as far as to sabotage their game's design in an attempt to push it. Not until Dragon Age Inquisition, another BioWare game, one where even returning characters were deliberately re-designed to be ugly as sin.

    Yeah, a good game.

The problem isn't that it takes itself seriously, the problem is it takes itself seriously when it's really not. One minute we're talking about how dangerous the House is and how easily they could send John Wick after us to slit our throats, the next we're driving off in their gold plated cars because the smartest plan they could come up with was to fill them up with gas, use them as bait and duct tape two slow ticking time bombs that beep loudly onto the rear bumper.

The Fast & Furious movies have the same problem. One minute Dom's wife gets murdered in front of him, the next he's being chased by a literal avalanche of sentient cars on the streets of New York (bloody hell what happened) all while cracking jokes and acting clever with his buddies.

  • @BLVD69To be honest, it has been so many years since I played Most Wanted, I don't even remember Mia's personality all that well. I only remember her looks. I'll take your word for it on her personality 😉

@mrtun3r  Nope, you're right, I don't know Bioware all that well, because I don't really care about it as much as you may. I played the first 2 MEs, but other than that, I guess you got me. Political and racial agendas must abound at EA games. At least in Mass Effect I got to create the cutest female Commander Shepherd you ever did see, so props to them for that LOL.
