To anyone that is a traditional player save your money. This game is a nightmare.Took away controls for the traditional player like me. Unreal.Almost impossible to pass and shoot with the same hand.How hard is it to leave in the things that have always been there for us traditional players???Why can they never leave in the things we are use to???Seriously....Paid $70 and can not even play this game....Nice scam EA!!!!I will NEVER by an EA product again!!

You can still literaly pass just using R2 like always, OR you can use (in my opinion) the WAY BETTER icon passing system they put in this year. My only complaint is the hitting system, but even that I'm starting to get the hang of now, my only issue now, is everytime I'm in front of the net looking for a deflection, I keep trying to press the left analog stick and it ends up cross checking the other player.Overall, anyone who says this game is the worst yet, just has no idea what they're talking about. This years game seems to punish people who like to just run around and do their own thing and actually makes you play *GASP* as a team!

After last year presentation removing I don't understand why the people are so hyped to buy this game early at the release date. We have known since many years that they remove every year something good. New team, same game !

@BenTurbill Same here. i have played Nhl games for many years and now i cant stand play it anymore . I have tried to play this game but I cant even stand 1 period . Sadly this game is now totally ruined and unplayable

Same situation, it is a nightmare! We used the Classic control many years already! TBH, I spent 3 hrs to learn how to play by using the new controls, but totally XYZ! Easports don’t care about us!

I feel the exact same way. I don’t know why I keep purchasing this game. Completely sucks and gets worse every year. I’m 53 years old and have been playing video games since they were invented. Always loved hockey whether it’s playing for real or video game. This is really frustrating. WTF EA.

@cdyshkit's the worst money I have ever spent. so disappointing to spend 80 bucks on it....
doesn't even bother to give u a small
tutorial for newbies like me. what's with the stupid idea of pointing with the stick and attempting to click it for passing and shooting. played it for maybe 3 minutes turned it off and won't be turning it back on!!! EA keen taking your money for a dumpster fire. if unplay is and don't enjoy it, at least they credit your account for something else. just tough *. pathetic. will never play ea games again after that

@recipe87 I've played nhl games in the past and they were fun!!
it's the no tutorial that really ruined it. you just start a game and spend the entire time trying to chase the CPU and when I got the puck all it did was quickly flash an arrow in a direction that I obviously have to aim but didn't manage do anything but hit it to none and randomly stab at bottuns until i switched it off very soon after that. realistic is good, but why make it so u are given no hits at all about to attempt to play this game?? I just got a ps5 and this was the first game I bought.... if anything I'll keep to show as many of my friends as possible how bad it is and not buy it. already aropped two mates from doing it!! gotta get my money back somehow
