Re: Repost - Multi-team control in franchise mode

I'm gonna get reemed for this one, but I don't think it will ever happen in NHL. I'd wager, it has to do with their basic belief that players cheat in offline modes.

The SNP/PLY/PWF combo was enough to break them of letting us ever control all the teams in Franchise.

They'd probably say something like the Philadelphia GM can't interfere with Edmonton trading McDavid to Colorado, so you can't in Franchise, but its okay in Season, and you aren't the GM there, you are "League Officials".

I don’t see why you’d get reemed for having that thought. I personally just want to use it to fix all the stupid things the AI does and create fun stories to follow in my head.

But even if I were wanting to use it to cheat, who would that hurt? It’s an offline mode where I’m playing by myself. Just make a rule where you can’t get any trophies or whatever once you control more than one team, or something. I never even try to get any of the trophies anyway.

  • @kyl_35 Yeah every other kinda of games that have these options turns off achievements/trophies… even minecraft has the option… allows you to turn in cheats but forever disables achievements for that save file… XCOM 2 I think has something similar…

And even IF it’s “cheating”…. All the other sports games have it. Why can’t we? Yeah sure it’s a different division of devs… but still makes no sense… EA just actually actively goes out of their way to make sure we are ignored and make sure we don’t get whatever we beg for…
