Coach strategies and strategy set up options don't even match up...

So when editing strategies you'll notice that coaches have power play strategy preferences...but players don't have any indicators of what their power play preferences are. Same with the penalty kill. But when setting up your lines you'll notice that, oh look at that, none of my players seem to match my coaches power play preferences. Not only that but the coach strategy preferences don't even match up with options available in the strategy set up page.

And if you don't even change the strategy to match the coaches preferences, why do the boosts still show up in the "edit lines" interface? How do you even know if you're getting the boosts in the first place? The menu system is so unusable to begin with, but I could post a book on that.

I'm more and more at a loss as to how and why EA still bothers making this game.

I've spent more time on this board than I have playing the game and I'm getting sick of it, but EA has done such an incredibly poor job and it seems the players the only ones that want this game to be good. Franchise mode is so blatantly disconnected from the rest of the game. I don't understand how....how the crap is this possible?

How many bugs are we up to now? I mean, is it benign neglect or is EA intentionally screwing with us?
