The same is happening to me. Impossible to pinpoint anything in the game. Before the update the directional audio was perfect.
My audio setup is Sennheiser HD800S @ Creative AE-9.
For now I am using the command fix mentioned above but this it's so frustrating.
Yes, indeed, previously the sound was perfect, the 7.1 was so clear, well, they literally have a skill of breaking everything that was working as intended.
The new patch don´t fix anything with 7.1 audio. Any more with the same problem?
