Can't hear footsteps on PS5

What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. We were fighting another squad
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? No
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? 6-8 matches
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 11/30/20 around 9pm CT, 12/01/2020 around 10pm CT
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? While fighting another squad, we got third partied. I got shot from behind, when I turned around a caustic was a few feet away from me but I never heard his footsteps. Next match, my squad mate told me I had a person behind me, was knocked down before I could even turn around. The guy was less than 2 feet away from me but never heard him. This is only happening to me as I'm playing on a PS5, my squad mates play on PS4.
What should be happening instead? I should be able to hear the enemies footsteps behind me.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I can hear people running next to me, but if they are behind me there is no sound whatsoever.

* I selected ps4 pro on platform model because there is no PS5 option. This issue is only happening on the PS5 as I had no issues while playing in the PS4.
