CAR SMG does not accept the laser sight attachment

What happens when the bug occurs? Despite the laser sight being advertised as an attachment for SMGs and pistols in the patch notes, the CAR SMG does not accept laser sight attachments on top of no longer accepting barrel mods. On a side note, the Wingman also doesn't take laser sight attachments despite being in the pistol category, but to me this seems intentional due to its "sniper" nature now.
What should be happening instead? The CAR should accept laser sight attachments like other SMGs and pistols (besides the Wingman).
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Pick up a CAR SMG in any mode and check its attachments.

To be clear, the barrel mod slot was also removed, which leads me to believe that the laser sight was meant to be added but never properly was.
