Are you only noticing this happening when you yourself are the drop master?

It only occurs if someone else is jumpmaster when I break off mid-flight. I will fly normally with the jumpmaster, but when I break off I begin to lose speed.

Just to test this, have you tested this with other controllers on your Xbox to see if that has any effect at all?

After testing with another controller and looking at the Xbox button input testing screen for my original controller, it looks like it was the controller that was the problem. Thank you for your help!
