Controller Deadzones not working after playing a bit of MnK (PC)

I was playing a TDM on mnk and then connected the controller, but it felt absolutely horrible, i mostly play roller.

The biggest give away is that i randomly stopped having stick drift, and i had a lot, this happened outr of nowere after connecting controller mid match, it makes it unplayable since i have to move the stick way more than before the bug.

    Do you use Steam input?
The problem may be with steam and not Apex.
  • This happened to me literally 5 minutes ago. The game crashed and I relaunched and now my stick drift is completely gone, makes it feel like the deadzone on my stick is WAY high and now almost impossible to aim.

I use ALC settings and play on linear so I am use to having a ton of stick drift. For me its normal and imperative to my aim but this feels actually awful. Hope someone who can help sees this.

  • I figured out the bug. Something changed on steam and its defaulting steam inputs to high af deadzones. Disable steam inputs entirely by right clicking apex -> properties -> controller -> and on the right side of the panel there is a drop down field where you can select "disable steam input". My roller is back with drift and all and feels good again.

@ASassyPastry You don't need to disable Steam Input, just set Deadzone to custom 🙂

This is what the recent Steam Update says:

I also recommend removing the deadzone from the triggers.

  • I can't find these configurations that you are showing. And it is not possible to fix this problem with sticks. Help me plis..)
