What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Trying to friend someone on another console

It won’t let me friend anyone on a different platform even though all of the settings are correct.

    Hello, I am new to the game and have been trying to cross-play with one of my friends, but we cannot seem to be able to find each other. We've looked at our EA settings and everything seems to be up to date and fine. I really do not know why this is occurring, so if anyone has any tips or ideas, please let me know. We've been trying for over an hour and nothing seems to work.

    @Elternato this is a method from some time back, so I don't know if it will work now.

    My son is on pc and I'm on xbox and we had a similar issue, but S8. It seems to have sorted itself out now though. What we had to do :

    You have to set up a new club, I don't remember which of us set up the club.

    If you are both in the same club, there is a button in the bottom right of the club tab that says invite all members to party. If you press that it should send an invite, even if showing offline. I don't remember if it was an admin invite or not, but try admin first.

    Invite all members was the critical bit.

    He appears as a friend now when he's online, but not when he's offline.

    There is no search functionality right now. Has anyone found a fix for this.

    sooooo I have tried to add a crossplay friend for a while, but nothing is showing. I have done your steps to activate crossplay it doesn't work here I search up non-crossplay people like ps4 people I can't seem to see them. I have my PlayStation friends added but when I search any new user names nothing shows up I even tried with people I have queued up with and they don't show even if they are on PlayStation. help?

    I am unable to add my crossplay friends on PS5, they are playing on Xbox Series X. We've both checked our settings and cross play is enabled, I've deleted the game and reinstalled it, I just my EA account settings and everything is good. I'm kind of at a loss at what to do here as I just want to play this game with my friend and can't. Any help you be appreciated, thank you!.

    @frantichugar52 I had this problem too, not sure how to resolve it but I don’t think it’s simply just a ps5 issue I think it’s an issue revolving PlayStation as a whole. Good luck sorting it out, need this to be fixed!

    My friend downloaded apex on pc and I'm on ps4 and I try to add him as a friend no one pops up and same with him so I search for random people and no one pops up either. All our privacy settings are updated and cross play enabled. Someone please help

    Hi folks, 

    We've merged a number of threads together to help keep information and troubleshooting on this in one space.

    Edit to add: There are some posts from a few days ago, could you take a look and see if the search results in the EA App now show your friends?

    If not, can you double-check that the privacy settings for both the EA accounts and console accounts are set to public? The privacy settings can determine the search results. These guides will come in handy for checking on and updating the various privacy settings: EA Account / Steam / Xbox / PlayStation.  

    In the meantime, let's rule out connectivity issues. Could you try turning the router off for 5 minutes and turn it back on again? If possible, see if switching up how you connect online helps, for example, if you're using Wifi, try it on mobile data instead.
