Product: Apex Legends
Platform:PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
AMD or Nvidia Model Number Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
Enter RAM memory size in GB 16
What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name? holyspirit01
Please provide your squad mates' gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name if possible.
Which Legend were you playing (if applicable)?
Which Legends were your squad mates using (if applicable)?
Where did the issue occur? In the lobby (waiting area before the match)
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Any / doesn't apply
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Any / doesn't apply
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? I don't know
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? 0
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm)
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How severe is your issue?
What happens when the bug occurs? Screen color is not effected by the f.lux program I have installed. This makes excessive amount of blue light to penetrate my eyeballs.
What should be happening instead? The color modification of f.lux should apply like it does on the desktop and on other games.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Install f.lux and run it. 2. In f.lux, set your screen "color temperature" so you see a noticeable yellow tint to your screen. 3. Run Apex Legends in full screen mode (not borderless window). 4. See that f.lux have no effect in-game.

Hello,

I use a relatively popular software called f.lux. What f.lux does is change your monitor color to block blue light during certain hours of the day. You may go take a look at their website to learn more about it and what it's good for.

My problem is that it doesn't work with Apex legends when the game is in full screen mode. That means it will not effect the screen color. It does however work properly in borderless window mode, but that gives you noticeably worse responsiveness...

In other games I play (e.g. Overwatch), f.lux works in the full screen mode as well as in borderless window mode.

I'd appreciate if you take the time to look into it and if possible make it so that f.lux will be able to have effect on the screen color also in fullscreen mode.

Thanks.

  • I got it to work for me and it might work for you too, whilst playing i found a temp fix by pressing the windows key than clicking back on apex legends on the task bar. You might have to do it a few times but eventually f.lux will work on fullscreen.

  • This can be easily solved by allowing the command -nogammaramp in Apex Legends. Such command is allowed in CSGO, Dota, etc.

Please Apex developers, consider this, there are a lot of users who need this feature.

Have this exact same problem and boy is it a problem; I use f.lux because of my super light sensitive eyes. Because I can't use f.lux in Apex I get headaches and it's really putting me off playing a game I enjoy.
